Android TV
SendSpin Player is optimized for Android TV with a 10-foot interface designed for D-pad remote control navigation.
Install the APK on your Android TV device. SendSpin Player appears in the TV app launcher alongside your other media apps.
TV-Optimized Interface
Section titled “TV-Optimized Interface”D-Pad Navigation
Section titled “D-Pad Navigation”All interactive elements are navigable with a standard TV remote:
- Use directional buttons to move between controls
- Press Select/OK to activate buttons and controls
- Press Back to return to previous screens
Focus Indicators
Section titled “Focus Indicators”When navigating with the D-pad:
- Focused elements show a colored border
- A subtle scale animation (1.05x) provides visual feedback
- Focus automatically moves to the most relevant element when entering a screen
Overscan Safety
Section titled “Overscan Safety”Content is padded from the screen edges to account for TV overscan, ensuring nothing is cut off on older displays.
Layout
Section titled “Layout”The TV layout automatically activates when the app detects it’s running on a TV device. The interface features:
- Larger text and controls for viewing distance
- Landscape-oriented layouts
- High contrast for readability across the room
Connecting
Section titled “Connecting”Use the same server setup process as on a phone. Navigate the Add Server wizard using your TV remote’s D-pad and select button.
For the easiest setup, configure your server on a phone first, then enter the same details on your TV.
